Since I was young, for as long as I can remember, I have relished massage at anytime of day or night and for more than a decade now have enjoyed visiting spas around the world and appreciating the therapeutic benefits of a multitude of spa treatments.

In 2001 I took the plunge and decided that I would commit the next stage of my life to becoming more holistic and helping to improve not only my own quality of life but also that of others and enrolled in college in Hong Kong. Thereafter followed four years of intensive study, graduating with diplomas in Physiology, Anatomy, Holistic Massage techniques, Aromatherapy and Spa Management, receiving certification from both ITEC (International Therapy Examination Council) and CIBTAC (Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology), the world's two most respected bodies in these fields.

During that time, I also made several trips, with the aim of developing my holistic principles. Some of the more interesting experiences are worthy of mention. First was a retreat to Sedona, Arizona, organized by world-renowned aroma-therapist and psychotherapist Michael Scholes, where one was encouraged to delve into the deepest recesses of one's mind, problem-solving by focusing on root causes, rather than the conventional practice of treating only the symptoms. Another involved spending time with the doctors in Kerala, India, learning about the practices of Ayurvedic medicine. I have also visited Cape Town, South Africa, a recognized centre of holistic treatments where I studied crystal healing and Reiki and have spent time in Hawaii where I studied hot lava stone therapy.

In June 2005, I decided that I had accumulated sufficient knowledge and experience to be in a position to share with others the benefits of all that I had learned and began construction of Tirta Spa on Boracay Island, Philippines. Tirta means "Holy water" and struck me as an appropriate name whilst I was enjoying a retreat in the Himalayas, at the source of the sacred Ganges River. It was as a result of this particular trip that I became acutely aware of the benefits of spiritual healing and my hope is that you too will experience some of this at Tirta Spa.

I have created an environment, I hope, where people will feel completely at ease. I offer treatments across a wide spectrum, including a variety of massages, wraps, scrubs, facials and Indian head massage, all based on pure Aromatherapy and the principles of Ayurvedic medicine. I am also available for consultation on Aromatherapy for any specific ailments.

The opening of Tirta Spa, Boracay Island is the first step on my journey to fulfillment. The next step is to spread the Holistic word.
